Progress and creativity have both been strong areas over the last term. At the beginning of the term, we had an assembly on Safer Internet day, as well as an assembly on World Book day, which all children took part in. Morale has been very high and the children even had the opportunity to play in some snow (not that it lasted long!). Creativity has played a big part in the younger pupils lessons - for example, using clay to divide circles into equal sections during Maths.
We had a visit from Exmoor Adventures - they set up Archery on our school field - this proved to be great fun despite the cold weather. We also visited Fullabrook Farm.
This has been a fantastic start to the new academic year - the lessons have been packed with progress, enthusiasm and exciting topics. We have also had the pleasure of welcoming several visitors to Libra, to give different types of assemblies, and have taken the pupils on several local trips already.
We've had assemblies on Bullying and Respect (A Telling Tale), an assembly on Social Media (Virtual Reality) and the Appledore Book Festival. We have visited Channings Wood Prison, Ilfracombe Chocolate Factory, Dunster Castle, Exmoor Zoo, Knightshayes House, Butlins and a Christmas trip to the Pantomime.
We are already making great progress in several areas, keep up the hard work everyone!
