After a good Christmas break, 2019 got off to a busy start at school. We have continued with our Wake & Shake sessions each morning, which get everybody energised for their day ahead.
We have such a great variety of things going on at school to keep everybody focused, one of which is Forest School, which remains a very popular activity each week with a huge variety of skills being learnt including orienteering and map reading.
We have had the usual mix of trips that tie in with our lessons – such as the trip to The Royal Albert Memorial Museum, where some mummification was performed by some of our students! Other trips have been part of our Reward Scheme and also for the ever popular Golden Time on a Friday afternoon, such as indoor climbing, swimming and trampolining.
Below are a few snaps of the activities over these terms:
The year has been kick-started with plenty of outdoor activities and educational visits. Our new timetable has so far proven to be very popular, as we now have a morning Wake & Shake session to boost energy levels for a successful day of learning!
Our pupils have been very well behaved so far this school year and have therefore had the opportunity to attend lots of exciting activities and local attractions, including Tropiquaria Zoo, Splatball, Dinosaur Live at Queens Theatre, Apple Tree Alpaca Farm, Cobbaton Tank Museum and a Peter Pan pantomime. That's without us including all of the fun and creative activities the children have participated in whilst in school!
Here is a snapshot of the fun we've had so far:
